A lucky pup was rescued during Snowstorm Juno which blanked the Northeast with over two feet of snow.
According to NBC New York, Lt. Dave Kelly of the FDNY saw the 1-year-old pup, whose name is Burt, hanging around the FDNY’s building.
Kelly lured the pup in with some real doggy food, which the pup hadn’t had in five months.
NBC New York reported that Kelly called the pup’s owner, Lauren Piccolo. Piccolo was more than happy that her dog had been found.
She told NBC New York that she had posted several fliers around the city and posted photos of Burt on her a facebook page, which Kelly used to locate Piccolo.
According to NBC New York, Piccolo was at home getting ready for the storm when Kelly phoned her with the good news.
